Established in 2023, FloJo’s Sweets is a luxury dessert boutique and pastry studio specializing in handcrafted cakes, gourmet desserts, and elegant sweet experiences that transform life’s most meaningful moments into unforgettable celebrations. Every creation is thoughtfully designed using premium ingredients, refined pastry techniques, and artistic craftsmanship to deliver desserts that are just as beautiful as they are delicious.

Our story begins long before the business itself.

FloJo’s Sweets was inspired by my beloved grandmother, Florence Johnson, affectionately known as “FloJo.” Growing up in a Caribbean household in the Bronx, New York, I discovered my love for baking in her kitchen, where I learned the tradition of making Jamaican Rum Cake (Black Cake). Those cherished moments became the foundation of my passion for pastry and my appreciation for bringing people together through food.

What began as treasured family memories evolved into a lifelong pursuit of excellence.

After earning my Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Baking & Pastry Arts with honors from the prestigious Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, I dedicated my career to mastering the art of pastry. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working alongside talented culinary teams in renowned restaurants, bakeries, luxury hospitality venues, and specialty dessert concepts. Each experience strengthened my technical expertise, creativity, and commitment to delivering exceptional quality.

Today, FloJo’s Sweets blends classical pastry techniques with modern elegance and subtle Caribbean influences, creating desserts that honor tradition while embracing innovation. Whether we’re designing an elegant wedding cake, preparing luxury dessert tables, creating gourmet cookies, handcrafted pastries, or seasonal collections, every item is made with precision, creativity, and genuine passion.
